Arts and Crafts

The girls LOVE arts and crafts!
We are always doing art projects; coloring, painting, using chalk, cutting, gluing, and anything else they can think of.  I love that they are so creative and they have so much fun doing anything artistic.  Here is a quick look at some of their art projects from October:

Caroline received a box of puppets to assemble for her birthday.
She picked the elephant as her first one to make.

She LOVED this art project and had so much fun making it!
Thank you Uncle Adam and Aunt Brigette!

Elizabeth received this pumpkin project from Gramps and had so much fun putting all the little stickers on the board.  Thanks you Gramps!

Elizabeth made this Halloween cupcake at the Vienna Fall Festival.

A week after the Elephant puppet, Caroline made the lion puppet.

She walked around 'roaring' all day :)

Elizabeth LOVES to draw on the marker board, especially since starting Kindergarten.
She wanted me to take a picture of all of her drawings :)

And that's a little bit of their art work from October.

Happy Monday y'all!

Weekend with Ga-Ga!

A few weeks ago, Ben went on his annual guys camping trip.  While he was gone my mom came to stay with me and have a little fall fun with her granddaughters.  We fit a lot of fun into a short amount of time and I wanted to share some pictures of our weekend together.

Friday before Elizabeth got home from school.
Caroline and Ga-Ga were all about the game 'Don't spill the beans'

Caroline LOVED having Ga-Ga all to herself for awhile. :)

Friday afternoon the girls and I went for a walk around the neighborhood.
(Really I was just killing time until pizza and movie night in the living room)

They decided to play in the "pile" of leaves. Ha!

They loved their "pile" of leaves. :)

Saturday morning, Elizabeth wanted to wear her new shirt from Aunt Lolly

After breakfast we headed to Vienna for a little fall festival on their square.
It was so cute and so much fun!
The girls were able to decorate pumpkins (and take them home!).
They each made an art project, got their faces painted, received balloon animals,
sat on a tractor, and so much more!

A girl scout troop was doing the face painting.
Elizabeth was excited to tell them she is a girl scout too!

The Chick-Fil-A cow was giving away free kids meals.
Thanks Chick-Fil-A!

You can barely see Caroline :)

 Elizabeth wanted a turn too

They had all sorts of little games set-up and the girls won little Halloween prizes.

The girls were so excited to see Moana!!

 Proud of her face paint!

After the bounce houses, the girls wanted to try the putt-putt

Then we saw Spider Man and Bat girl!

On our way out, the girls peeled apples to make apple sauce

Elizabeth's Halloween goody that Gramps sent her :)

And the Halloween ghost cupcake she made at the festival.

We had a lot of fun and we were so excited for Ga-Ga to come spend the weekend with us.

Happy Thursday y'all!

Day date!

Ben and I enjoyed a day date a few weeks ago!  Ben was off from work, Elizabeth was in school, and our wonderful friend Laura agreed to watch Caroline for us (thank you, thank you, thank you Laura!!!!).

We made plans for lunch and movie and thoroughly enjoyed both!

Ben and I went to Bonefish Grill (yummy!)
My date is so handsome!

I had the best Granny Smith Apple Martini!

We had to get the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer!

I had crab cakes and Ben had fish and chips.

After lunch we walked over to the movies to see Kingsman: Golden Circle.

We had the theater all to ourselves :)

 Love this guy!!

Happy Tuesday y'all!
