Friday Favorites!

This week has flown by and I have a few favorites from this quick week!
I'm doing a link-up with Erika and Andrea.

ONE.

Movie night in the middle of the week!
We watched Honey I Shrunk the Kids and the girls loved it.
It's one of the only non-cartoon movies they have ever seen.

TWO.

Drinks on the beach.
I was out-of-town for a girls weekend and enjoyed relaxing on the beach.

 THREE.

Biking around the island was definitely a favorite!
I don't ride a bike very often, but every time I do it's enjoyable.
I really want to incorporate this more into my regular life. :)

 FOUR.

Making muffins with my big girl.
She's so tall she doesn't need a chair...

Happy Friday y'all!

Caroline is 2 1/2!

Dear Caroline,

You are 2 1/2 years old today!!!

We cannot believe it has already been six months since you turned two!  Time is flying around here and you are growing up so fast.

You weigh about 31.8 pounds and you are 37 inches tall.  You wear 3T or 4T shirts, 3T pants, and 4T shorts this summer.  You wear 2T or 3T dresses and size 6 or size 7 shoe.

I try to pull your hair up, but you like it down and only sometimes add a bow or clip.  However, you love accessories likes bracelets and necklaces and frequently ask us to put them on you.

You like to brush your teeth and ask to do this anytime you are in your bathroom.

On the days your sister is at preschool, you talk nonstop.  As soon as we drop her off you start talking and talking and talking.  You ask to call people on the phone or request music on the radio while we are driving around. You love to talk to your sister and you will tell her anything and everything.  You also love to listen to your sister and you will do almost anything she suggests.

You are a lot like your sister was at this age; you love to read books, play with blocks, watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and play dress-up.  We haven't done many art projects with you, but you do love to color or play with play-doh.  You are very into Frozen and love to dress-up as Elsa, watch Frozen, or run around saying quotes from the movie.

In the last six months you have:

Picked pumpkins for Halloween
Dressed up as a cat for Halloween
Traveled to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia for Mommy's birthday
Had your Ga-Ga, Gramps, Uncle Andy, Aunt Lolly, and cousin Annalise visit for Thanksgiving
Had your Nana and Pap Pap visit in December
Celebrated Christmas at home
Traveled to Deep Creek, Maryland for New Years
Traveled to Pennsylvania to visit Nana and Pap Pap (and you went bowling for the first time!)
Cheered for the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl
Gone to the Zoo many times
Celebrated Valentine's Day with your family
Celebrated Elizabeth's birthday with a Frozen party
Had your Nana and Pap Pap visit in February
Gone to the Botanical Gardens in DC and the Native American Museum
Played in the snow
And celebrated St. Patrick's Day with your family

Here are some pictures of your adventures from the last six months:

Caroline, sweet baby girl, we love you so much and we are so proud of the young girl you are becoming.

We love you,

Mom and Dad

Life Lately

Life lately has been full of ice cream, shopping, having fun, celebrating birthdays, and taking A LOT of selfies.  These pictures are from the last few weeks and we have been working in some fun days while dealing with some unfortunate days with our house (the flood and an entire day without electricity after the snow storm).

We went to I-HOP for dinner on National Pancake Day and the line was out the door.
So we drove to Moe's because kids eat free on Tuesday (and it was a Tuesday). :)

Caroline and I could eat at Moe's everyday.
Elizabeth tolerates it on occasion (she's not a Tex Mex girl).

I made our bed one morning and Caroline promptly put her pillow and blanket on it and crawled on top of all our decorative pillows.

She then requested Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Love this cute girl!

March 9th is my brother's birthday and he requested a group Skype for his birthday.
I surprised him and Ben and I had birthday hats and noise makers.
Happy Birthday Andy!

The next morning the girls had fun playing with our leftover party supplies :)

At Caden's birthday party a few weeks ago, Liz took this picture of me with Caroline.
Doesn't she looked thrilled?
I just laugh and laugh every time I see it. :)

Elizabeth was more than happy to take a picture with me :)

PIZZA!

Maybe she just wanted to eat?

Our snow day was also Pi Day and Elizabeth made a delicious s'more pie

And Ben made homemade cheese pizza

 Pie is ready!

We lost power all day the day after our snow day.
A car ran into two power poles and knocked them both over across a four-lane-road.
We were out of power for 12 hours, so we were out of the house most of the day
(because it was about 20 degrees outside)

We went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and the girls wanted to trade in their toys for ice cream

After lunch we went to the mall.
This is inside the Loft fitting room.
I was trying on clothes and apparently they were taking A TON of pictures :)

See my arm?  I had no idea.
See Caroline posing?  I had no idea.

 Selfie time.

Ben gave me this book for Valentine's Day.
I loved every single word.
If you like Gilmore Girls, you must read this book :)

We shopped and played at an outlet mall yesterday

And got more ice cream :)

They were so good all day that I let them pick one ride to ride on after all our shopping

And... that's life lately!

Happy Thursday y'all!
