Caramel apple dipping bar

Last week I surprised the girls after school and set-up a caramel apple dipping bar
for their afternoon snack.

I used mini marshmallows, M&Ms, mini chocolate chips, and smarties.
The girls could also pick up a few pieces of the giant Oreo crunch bar that my in-laws gave us.

I cut up several granny smith apples (because they are the best!) and gave each girl a couple of pop sticks to place their apples on.

Everyone also had their own caramel dipping bowl.

 Our apples and toppings

I called the girls over and they were super excited to get started!

 Can we start now Mom?

 One last photo :)

I scooped the toppings onto each girl's plate and then they could dip their apples
in their own caramel and top it with their own toppings.

We discovered pretty quickly that it was much easier to do with your hands and to forget the sticks.

Caroline continued to try to use the stick, but her apples were sliding all over the place.

 She loved this snack!

It was a pretty easy set-up.  I highly recommend just using your hands.
I had all the toppings and picked up the caramel and apples on my weekly grocery run.

Happy Tuesday y'all!

Trip to Georgia!

After our trip to South Carolina, we headed further south to Georgia.
My sister-in-law and brother had a new baby, sweet Emi and we just had to go meet her!
We also hung with my mom, my cousins, Annalise my oldest niece, celebrated my birthday and had fun just relaxing with family.

Here's a look at our very quick trip to Georgia:

Once I got my kids settled in, I grabbed my new niece from my mom. :)

Sweet Emilia!

She slept, I selfied ;)

I finally let Ben hold her for a bit :)

After cake we headed to our hotel.
We spent Sunday night and then headed back to Virginia on Monday.

We stopped at the South Carolina rest stop.
The girls had to get their sillies out.

Caroline FINALLY took a nap

And Elizabeth just chilled with her movies.

We got in around dinner time and enjoyed a relaxing birthday evening with TV, good food, and more presents.  Thank you to everyone that made my long birthday weekend festivities such a blast!  We had so much fun seeing everyone and we can't wait to see all of you again!

Happy Monday y'all!
