Goodbye 2014...HELLO 2015!

On December 31st, 2013, I posted this blog post which included a review of 2013 and goals for 2014.

Here were my resolutions for 2014:
#1: Complete another race
#2: Enjoy life and be happy in the moment

#3: Teach my daughter how to live a healthy, happy life by setting a good example
#4: Read more
#5: Curse less

I competed in a race on Thanksgiving.  I worked hard to enjoy life and be happy in the moment with family and friends.  I have been going to the gym on a regular basis and eating right so that I can set good examples of a healthy life for my daughters.  I did got through a phase where I read a lot, but I did not keep that up all year.  I did make a concentrated effort to curse less, I think overall I have improved my language.

I enjoy making resolutions every year.
I believe in making goals and working hard to achieve them.
I never want to stop learning, so I continue to challenge myself in new ways.

So, as I say goodbye to 2014 and prepare for 2015, I wanted to write down some resolutions for the new year.

2015 New Years Resolutions:

#1: Compete in 5 races

#2: Continue to enjoy life, work to be happy, and relax with my family

#3: Continue to show my daughters how to lead a healthy, happy, and productive life

#4: Read more

#5: Go on a family vacation

#6: Do a new family activity each month
(to include: Baltimore Aquarium, National Zoo, Smithsonian Museums, etc.)

#7: Find a babysitter for date nights

Here's to saying goodbye to 2014 and ringing in 2015!

Cheers!!!

2014 in review

We have had a wonderful, busy year and I love looking back on some of our favorite events.  I feel like this year has just flown by and I always enjoy taking a moment to remember things we have done or celebrated in the last year.

January

This is from New Year's Eve 2013.
Jessica, Me, Nahed, and Kyla
All four of us were pregnant this year.  Ha!

We took Elizabeth to the Children's Museum at National Harbour

February

 Elizabeth turned two!!

She had a birthday party at Landmark mall where all the kids played on the indoor playground and then road the train.  We celebrated with a Chick-Fil-A lunch and cupcakes.

Happy Birthday to our sweet, beautiful girl!

March

In March, we enjoyed several snow days
(I love this picture of Elizabeth following Ben)

 Playing in the backyard

We also announced we were going to become a family of four!

We were so excited to finally tell people

April

 In April we celebrated Easter.
We took it easy this month because May was super busy.

May

We started the month by celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary!

Then we celebrated Mother's Day

In the middle of the month, we found out we were having a girl!
This picture was our announcement

We continued celebrating the month with Adam and Brigette getting married!

We ended the month by moving Elizabeth to a full size bed

And setting up a play area in her room

She picked out her bedding

June

We kicked off the month by going to our favorite farm, Butler's Orchard and picking strawberries

 It was very hot

We got a lot of strawberries

 And Elizabeth LOVED every minute
We ended the month by celebrating Father's Day with Ben's favorite breakfast

He loves this girl so much!

July

In July we headed to Texas and spent time with my family
Elizabeth and her Great Grandmother

 Elizabeth and her Ga-Ga

At the end of July we celebrated Ben graduating from his training program

Who doesn't love to celebrate with cake?

We also had Caroline's room painted

August

At the beginning of August, we celebrated Ben's 33rd birthday

Elizabeth loved celebrating (and wearing a party hat)

At the end of the month we made some liquid chalk for the first time

 Elizabeth LOVED it!

September

We welcomed our beautiful daughter, Caroline!

I love this sweet baby!

Elizabeth loves her baby Caroline so much!

We are ready to go home!

October

In October we stayed around the house.
But I sent out this birth announcement

Caroline turned one month!

At the end of the month we celebrated Halloween.
We had a little lamb and a princess.

I love my family!!!

November
