Bellies & Babies

Yesterday I went to this fabulous consignment store near my school to check out baby clothes.  A lot of people had told me about Bellies & Babies ( http://www.belliesbabies.com/) located in the middle of Del Ray.  I drove by on Monday but they were closed, so I went back on Tuesday after school.  I found some very cute outfits for baby girl and they were having a summer clearance so I got 5 of the outfits for $2 each!  So, if you are searching for clothes for your kids, and you live near Del Ray, check out Bellies and Babies!

For some reason I can't get the picture to rotate, sorry.

20 weeks...

I am 20 weeks!

We are having a GIRL!!!!

Our baby is the size of a cantaloupe!

She weighs 10.2 ounces and is 6.5 inches long.

Weight gain so far: 12 pounds

News this week: Today we found out we are having a girl.  We are both so excited that we got see to our beautiful daughter this afternoon.  She was very good during the ultrasound and didn't seem too bothered by the ultrasound.  I am openly biased however, our daughter is so beautiful and I cannot wait to meet her!

CVS

These are all the goodies I bought at CVS today.
Here's how I did it:

I had $1 in extrabucks rewards from CVS, one $1.50 coupon for 2 bags of m&ms, one $1.50 coupon for 2 bags of snickers, and one $2.50 coupon for Huggies.

The candy corn is 99 cents, and with purchase you get an extrabucks reward of 99 cents.

The Mars or Wrigley's fun size bags of candy are 4/$10, and with purchase you get an extrabucks reward of $4.00.

The Huggies diapers are 2/$18, and when you spend $25, you get an extrabucks reward of $10.

So...
I got the candy corn for FREE with my previous $1 extrabucks reward plus I got back 99 cents extrabucks

The 4 bags of candy were 4/$10, however I had $3.00 when combining my two coupons, so that makes the candy 4/$7.  Plus I got back $4 in extrabucks.

The Huggies diapers were 2/$18 and I had $2.50 off. So I got 2/$15.50  Plus when I bought one extra package of diapers, I got back $10 in extrabucks.

So...I saved $19.94 in CVS savings, and $6.50 in coupons.  For a savings of $26.44

Original total: $62.11

Total spent: $35.67

Extrabucks rewards: $14.99

I then used $10 of my extrabucks to purchase the ACT mouthwash ($8.49)
and two packages of gum (2/$2) for FREE!

Total spent: $35.67 for 3 packages of Huggies diapers, 4 bags of halloween candy, 1 bag of candy corn, 2 packages of gum, and 1 bottle of ACT mouthwash.

Total spent: $35.67

Total savings: $38.93

Hasbro Games

This week, Kmart is doubling ALL coupons for Hasbro games.  Yesterday's paper had coupons for Hasbro games like Monopoly, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, etc.  The Southern Savers website that I use for my couponing is where I found out about the Kmart deal (I have not found the deal advertised anywhere else).  The Southern Savers website also has a link to the Hasbro website (hasbro.com) where you can print off additional coupons.

After work today I went to Kmart and checked with Customer Service to verify that they are accepting the Hasbro coupons and doubling them.  They were!

Here is what I got:

2 Monopoly games
2 Candy Land games
1 Chutes and Ladders
1 Jenga
1 Cootie Ants in the Pants
2 travel Connect 4 (they were both FREE!)

Total before coupons: $87.91

Total spent after coupons: $30.92

Total saved: $56.99

18 weeks

I'm 18 weeks!

Our baby is the size of a sweet potato!

He or she weighs 6.7 ounces and is 5.6 inches long.

Weight gain so far: 10 pounds

Random facts about the baby: She or he is yawning, hiccuping, sucking, and swallowing
She or he is also twisting, punching, and kicking.

Random fact about me: My lower back has been hurting this week, not sure if that is from sitting in a chair all day or because the baby is growing.

Labor Day Weekend!

This past weekend we went to Greensburg for a relaxing Labor Day weekend.  On Saturday we went to the Pitt game where the Panthers beat Buffalo.  It was my first time to arrive early enough to a Pitt game to see the pre-game warm-up and pre-game show with the band.  We had such a great time at the game and it was a great start to the weekend.

Before the game, in front of Heinz field.
Yes, Heinz like the ketchup and yes, the Steelers also play at Heinz field.

Pre-game show by the band.

Post-game victory smile.

On Sunday, Sally Anne and Al hosted a New Year's party.  There's a really long story behind why they throw the party, but just know that the party is fabulous and they are such great  hosts.  I had such a good time seeing all of Ben's family and talking to people we don't get to see very often.  Everyone dresses up in all sorts of different outfits to party into the New Year.

And the ball drops at midnight!
