Texas (part two)

Monday, July 2nd
We hung at the house most of the day.
It was a nice and relaxing day of playground time and swimming in the lake.

My grandmother hangs flags for everyone's college off the deck.

Swinging in the morning before it gets too hot.

Caroline could be found here whenever she wasn't swimming :)

 Hugs with Ga-Ga!
Caroline (3), Ga-Ga, and Emi (7 months)

The three big girls eating lunch together :)

 Time for more swinging!

Emi wanted to play with the train tracks as well

But she settled for a bottle :)

Before bed wrestling between sisters (and trying to get the cousin involved)

See, Annalise has escaped to the chair :)

After the kids went to bed, we played cards!

 The temperature at 9pm...

Hand and Foot is serious business

Tuesday, July 3rd
Happy Birthday Lolly!!!
We celebrated Lolly all day and had a fun day for her birthday!

 Lots of presents!

 I want this!
A waterproof case for your phone.

Lolly was very nice to let three big girls help her open presents

After presents, we headed to Weatherford to enjoy some Mexican food (and margaritas!) for a birthday lunch celebration!

 Cheers to Lolly!
Happy Birthday!!

After lunch we had ice cream and brownies to continue the celebration!

Later in the afternoon, the girls enjoyed a surprise from Ga-Ga.
Dinosaur bubble guns!!

The dinosaur even "rawr's (?) when it's mouth opens to let the bubbles out

 They really enjoyed the bubbles!

Tuesday night, we headed out for a double date with Andy and Lolly for her birthday.
Ga-Ga and Gramps kept all four girls.
The big girls were making bracelets when we headed out.

 Date night selfies!!

Thanks for stopping by!
More Texas posts coming soon!

Happy Tuesday y'all!

Texas (part one)

As I left off, we arrive in Texas (from Barbados) on Saturday, June 30th.
We picked up our rental car, grabbed dinner, and crashed at my grandmother's house that night.

Sunday, July 1st I threw my sister a bridal shower!
The shower was in Fort Worth and we had a great time!
(Ben and the girls headed out to the lake house while I hosted the shower)

Lolly, Anna, and me before the shower began.
Lolly made the Bride glass for Anna!

Mom, Anna, and yours truly  :)

 Some of the decorations

Table for 10, favors, and bridal bingo!!

The bride and her mom!

We ended our festivities with this beautiful cake!

Anna and Robert are so in LOVE!!!

After we loaded all of Anna and Robert's gifts into the car,
I headed out to the lake with my mom and Lolly.

Elizabeth, Caroline, and Annalise spent most of their time on the playground :)

 Views from the deck

 Lake Palo Pinto

That night we went to dinner at the Marina, Lolly and I decided to have a lime-a-rita (and take a selfie).  You know moms need to have a cocktail while on vacation!

My brother and mom being silly at dinner:

The girls "sat" at a table by themselves.
I sat "sat" because they spent most of their non-eating time running around and dancing.

And that's the end of the first full day in Texas.
I'll be back later with more from the week.
