Barbados (Part Three)

Tuesday, June 26th was Ben's favorite day in Barbados!!

We started the day at Copacabana beach club and then dropped the girls off with Noah.  He very nicely offered to watch the girls so we could go to Four Square Rum Distillery.

This picture is for Stacy and Dana- look the beach hat made it to Barbados! :)

 Snacks on the beach.
Best time of day!

Caroline took a rest on the beach chair

 They LOVE the ocean :)

 More blurry beach photos :)

After the beach, we headed to Cuz's to grab fish cutters for lunch.
A fish cutter is a fish that is deep fried and served on a sandwich roll.
We took the cutters back to the house, had lunch, and then headed out to the rum distillery.

When we got to Four Square they had a museum about the history of Barbados.

We walked through for a bit and enjoyed learning about Barbados.

How they used to make rum

It was a go-at-your-own pace tour and we were the only people there.
You could walk around the entire facility, it was pretty insane!

  Lots of rum!

It was so hot and smelled so sweet.

After walking through the distillery, we went in for the tasting.
The original tasting was six rums, we ended up trying a dozen once everything was said and done.  Again, we were the only people there at the moment, the bartender was wonderful and kept pouring "her favorite rums" for us to try.

The first nine rums we tried.
We were actually packing up and I asked a question about a rum and she pulled three more down for us to try.  I mean, it was so cool!!

We took this picture...

Then the bartender insisted we take another with us each holding rum. :)

We walked around for a bit and looked at more old machinery

We headed back to the house and stayed in with the kids.
Jessica and Noah went out on a date and we played with the kids in the yard.
Ben took all the following pictures of the monkeys running around.
I was nervous they would jump on the kids, but they never did.

The monkeys are eating the mangoes out of the trees and we were never able to find any fresh mangoes because they monkeys came and ate all of them every day.

Happy Wednesday y'all!
