Texas (part three)

Wednesday, July 4th!!

We love the 4th of July and we had a great day celebrating!!
We swam, grilled, and enjoyed the day with lots of family.

I started the day by hiking to the dam.

 What a view!
 Hiking selfie

After my hike, we all got dressed and took our annual 4th of July family photos.

First we took some cousin pictures

After family photos, we went swimming in the lake

And then the girls went fishing

Shortly after this photo, Elizabeth fell in.
I was so scared but my sister Anna jumped down and saved her.

Notice she is now wearing a swim suit AND sitting on the bench.

 Then everyone went swimming!

 Time for lunch.

In the afternoon, we did our annual pinata

 Check out the temperature

That's all my photos for the 4th of July.
The 5th of July, I didn't take any photos.

Friday, July 6th

We headed into Fort Worth with the girls and spent the morning at the Stockyards.

We caught the cattle drive before lunch

Those are some serious long horns.

We grabbed a BBQ lunch in the Stockyards

Ben had the unlimited BBQ beef ribs

After lunch, we walked around the Stockyards for a bit.
We shopped, checked out the cowgirl stuff, and did a few quarter rides.

In the late afternoon we took the girls bowling.
The bowling alley had $1 ice cream, so the girls were each treated to a cup. :)

 The lanes were pretty amazing.
They had automatic bumpers that went up when the kids bowled and down when the adults bowled.

The next day we flew home and ended our 15-day-vacation around part of the world. :)

Thanks for stopping by and keeping up with my extremely delayed blog posts.

Happy Friday y'all!
