Six Flags Winter Park

Last weekend we headed to Six Flags for their Winter in the Park holiday event.  Our girls absolutely LOVE rides- roller coasters, spinning rides, carousels, tea cups, flying airplanes, go-carts, anything and everything!

We picked up 2018 season passes during their Labor Day sale and that included the rest of the 2017 season (Fright Fest and Winter in the Park).  All four of us enjoyed both days in the park, but we especially loved Winter in the Park.  The displays are beautiful, the lights are everywhere, and the girls had so much fun making s'mores at one of the many fire pits located around the park.

Here is a look at our day (and night) at Six Flags Winter in the Park:

We arrived at the park around 2pm when it opened for the day.
We came back to this tree around 5pm for the grand lighting ceremony.

Caroline and I rode the carousel while Ben and Elizabeth did the roller coaster.

While Ben and Elizabeth rode the roller coaster for the second time,
Caroline and I rode Yosemite Sam's Flight School planes. :)

The girls didn't want to ride together for some reason.

They both love Pepe Le Pew's Tea Party!

We hit up Taz's Film Works swings on our way to Mardi Gras!

Both girls rode all the rides in Looney Tunes and then we headed down to the Mardi Gras side of the park and enjoyed a few more rides.

I'm waiting for the French Quarter Flyer.

After the Mardi Gras rides, we headed back to Main Street 1776 and ate dinner at the Heritage House Food Court.  The girls split the chicken tenders basket, Ben order the wings basket, and I had a philly cheesesteak basket.  All of our food was pretty good for amusement park food and all of us said we would order the same food again.

Once dinner was over, we headed outside for the Main Street Tree Lighting event!

 Before the lighting...

and after!

They even had fake snow (foam) which Elizabeth and Caroline loved!

We all loved the snow :)

We rode a few more rides...

and enjoyed all the lights

More lights!

Caroline LOVED the fake snow!!

The last thing we did was enjoy roasting some s'mores.

The Winter Park has fire pits set-up all over the park and you
could buy s'more packages near the fire pits.

We had a BLAST at Six Flags Winter Park and highly recommend going.

Some things before you go:

1. Arrive early to enjoy rides without long lines
2. Dress for the cold.  I saw several kids in snow clothes and highly recommend it!
3. Take the time to enjoy all the lights and rides
4. All the food was good, the kids really enjoyed making the s'mores

Happy Monday y'all!
