We do have a zoo membership and we have been members for three years. We have the Premier zoo membership and we try to go as many times as possible each year. Parking at the zoo is $22 but to visit the zoo is free. With the premier membership, parking is included, so if we go at least four times a year, it pays for itself (plus free carousel and train rides, drink tickets, and other discounts).
Here is a look at our day:
We started at the kids farm.
First up, these pigs.
Llamas!
Goats on their own playground.
Donkeys
More donkeys.
We walked up the hill to the Lion-Tiger Hill.
Andrew and Caroline checking out one of the tigers.
He was at the top (kinda hard to see)
Next up, the lions.
Caroline wanted to check out the dinosaur on our way to see turtles.
So this was AMAZING!
We sat down on some benches for our picnic lunch...
and the orangutans started climbing right above us!
Four adults came out and one was carrying a baby!
We had the BEST seats for lunch :)
After lunch we headed over to the Reptile Discovery Center.
My least favorite building, but the kids love it :)
Spider turtles!
Giant tortoises
After the Reptile Discovery Center we headed over to the Elephant House.
We saw four of the six elephants!
Caroline wouldn't pose, so I took a selfie with an elephant :)
Our last stop was the Panda exhibit.
They were all outside and moving around!
Caroline ran over to the panda and asked for a picture
The she wanted a picture with me as well
Luke hopped into the picture with us :)
Cutest photo bomber ever ;)
Cutest photo bomber ever ;)
After that we headed home.
It was a hot, fun day and I am so glad that Jennifer, Andrew, and Luke could join us.
Happy Friday y'all!
