We headed into the city to check out The Yards Park.
The Yards Park is a waterfront park with a splash area, dining, shaded outdoor seating, and tons of activities!
The girls enjoyed playing in the fountain area and the "pool" and then we enjoyed an outdoor lunch at Agua 301.
I recommend bringing buckets and water guns to use in the water.
Caroline loved the little spray area to start.
Elizabeth was excited to go straight to the bigger fountains.
The fountains go between low, medium, and high heights.
I love the look of surprise on her face.
They had so much fun together!!
After awhile we headed to the lower area with the "pool".
It was only a foot deep, but the girls had a ton of fun.
We enjoyed a snack in the shade.
And then lunch (and coloring) at Agua301.
I just had to take a picture of my guacamole :)
A few tips if you go:
1. They have public parking lots, about $2/hour.
2. Bring sunscreen, there is shade on the sides but not over the water.
3. Bring water and snacks, it gets hot and the kids get tired quickly from all the moving around. There is plenty of space to have a picnic.
4. We brought buckets, but I also recommend water guns for the pool area.
5. Towels or blankets are nice to sit on in the grass.
6. There are a TON of restaurants/wine bars/dessert places around the park, I highly recommend making time to dine out while you are there.
7. Walk down the boardwalk and check out the boats.

Happy Thursday y'all!
