The night was all about courage (in honor of the anniversary of 9/11) and the local fire department came out and hosted an evening for the kids. They talked about fire safety, calling 911 for emergencies, all the kids received fire hats and goody bags, all the kids were able to sit in the fire truck, AND they were able to talk to the firefighters and try on their uniforms.
Elizabeth and Caroline had a blast talking to the firefighters, "driving" the fire truck, taking home goodies, and enjoying dinner at Chick-Fil-A. Here are a few pictures from our evening:
Elizabeth ready to drive away!
She loved sitting here.
She kept hitting the air breaks and we finally had to pull her out of there.
Caroline was super excited (but you could barely see her, ha!)
A picture by the side of the truck
A firefighter showed the kids how to put on the uniform
Then they could go up and touch it and talk to him
(so they wouldn't be scared in a fire and a firefighter comes to help them)
Thanks Chick-Fil-A for another wonderful for our family!
We will see you next month to paint pumpkins!
Happy Monday y'all!
