SIX!

Dear Elizabeth,

You turned six on Sunday!

We had so much fun celebrating your sixth birthday this past weekend!  We celebrated from Friday afternoon until Sunday night and you had a lot of fun with friends, family, and lots and lots of good food.  Your Dad and I love you so much and cannot believe that you are six!

I'm not sure of your height and weight but we will have your six-year-old well visit soon and find out.  I do know that you wear at 5T/6 shirt and pants.  It really depends on who makes the clothes as to which size you wear.  You wear a size 11 shoe.  You still love the color purple, but you are happy to use things that are not purple (unlike a year ago). 

You and Caroline continue to share a room and the two of you have become best friends.  You usually chat a little before going to sleep and then you quietly wake-up and wait for her or vice versa.  You love to read books in bed and sometimes you read to Caroline. 

You still enjoy TV and movies but I don't think you have a favorite at the moment.  You are happy to watch a variety of shows and movies and you LOVE to listen to music.  You are happy to play in the playroom as long as something is playing on the TV (you like the noise from the TV and you definitely get that from your Dad). 

You really enjoy playing pretend with all of your different dolls/ponies/genies/princesses/Trolls/etc and you also enjoy building blocks with your sister. Your new favorite toys are the Shimmer and Shines genies.  You also love to take pictures with your camera.  Your favorite thing to do is art projects and you are constantly drawing and coloring in the kitchen.

You love sports and being active (PE is your "favorite" after Art).  In the past year you have tried t-ball, ballet, skiing, and you continued with swimming.  You enjoyed all of the sports, but t-ball and skiing were your favorites.  You also love to have dance parties at home and ask Alexa to play music and dance.  And Dad just added- you like to jump off things your not supposed to (Beds, couches, etc).  You joined Girl Scouts in the fall and is quickly become one of your favorite activities.  You ask every other day when your next Girl Scout meeting is going to be.  In the fall, you started CCD class and enjoy seeing your church friends every Sunday.

You also discovered your love of amusement parks and roller coasters this past year.  You loved all the rides at Idlewild and Six Flags and you are always asking when we can go back so you can ride again.  You love going to the zoo and you LOVE to go BOWLING!  You joined a free bowling club this past summer and we went bowling a lot (for free) and your really, really liked it.  And your most recent new thing to try was skiing.  You did a one-day ski school and LOVED it and spent the rest of the afternoon skiing with me.  You cannot wait to ski again and we are excited you are wanting to try new things.

Your favorite things to eat are rotisserie chicken, french fries, macaroni and cheese, and chocolate.  You still love mandarin oranges and strawberries along with yogurt and smoothies.  Your favorite drink is ice water.

You started Kindergarten this year and your Dad and I see so many changes in you.  You are so excited about school, making new friends, and trying new things.  You get nervous about doing something new, but it never stops you from trying it.  We are so proud of you!
