Main Floor Makeover

During our 'Staycation' we took the beginning of the week to do a little makeover to the main floor of our house and a little update to our bedroom.  We have been wanting the paint our main floor since we bought our house 2 years ago.  But, with a baby, building a nursery, a basement flood, and other random stuff we have put it off, we also couldn't decide what colors to use (until now!).

Here is our house the day we closed...

The breakfast nook in the kitchen.
That wall is super red!

Yes, that would be BLUE CARPET in the kitchen.

Last Labor Day we updated the appliances in the kitchen.  We changed out all of them for new, stainless steel appliances.  This spring we updated the counter tops with granite and put in a new sink and faucet.  This week we painted and put hardware on the cabinets.  I am loving our new kitchen!

We updated our Kitchen with the color: Harmonic Tan (I think it looks olive) from Behr.

We painted the living room: Wild Honey from Behr.

I have found new curtains for the windows but they are on back order.

We painted the dining room: River Valley from Behr.

We moved the bar from the breakfast nook into the dining room.
I found the wooden tray at Home Goods to put our barware on.

Here are the colors we used on the main floor.

Here are some side-by-side changes.

Hope you enjoyed the photos.  It's been a lot of work but worth it.
