Twenty Months

Dear Elizabeth,

You are 20 months old today!  Time continues to fly by as you grow from a baby into a little girl.  Your dad and I continue to marvel at how much you are like a kid and not a baby anymore.

You are 20-months-old!

You have some new "favorite things".  You love Minnie Mouse and Sesame Street.  We have gotten you a Minnie Mouse doll and Minne Mouse slippers and you love both.  You wear your slippers around the house all day and carry Minne in your arms wherever you go.  You have gotten really into Sesame Street and especially love the Elmo segments.

We have been sick a lot in the past month.  Pretty much since the beginning of October we have had the stomach flu, I got a concussion, and now we all have colds.  Before we all got sick, I ran in my first 10K race while you and Dad cheered me on at Clarendon Day.

You are now wearing size-four diapers, size 18-24 month clothes, and size 4 or 5 shoes.  You love wearing jackets (which is completely different from last fall/winter).  You are  32 inches tall and almost 22 pounds.  You also love having a hair tie and a hair bow in your hair.

You have started talking in short sentences and communicate with words and sign language.  You say things like, "I've got it" and "that's mommies or that's daddies" and our favorite, "I did it!"
Your favorite word is "eat" and you say it all the time.   You talk all the time and I have lost count of all the words you can say.  You have also started repeating everything we say.

Here are some pictures of your adventures over the last month:
