*Disclaimer: I am about the post 397 photos, just to warn you*
We headed up on Friday morning after breakfast. We were very apprehensive about our drive because Elizabeth threw up on our drive up two weeks ago. We made sure to stop about 90 minutes into the drive so Elizabeth could get fresh air and run around. We also switched drivers to ease the burden of the three and a half hour drive.
Once Ben handed over the driving to me, he wanted to capture the moment forever :)
(I never drive to Pennsylvania)
Once we got to Ben's parents' house, we had lunch with Adam and Brigette. Ben's parents were out-of-town so the kids and grand kids took over the house for the weekend. Brigette and Adam had prepared lunch for us (thank y'all again) and we enjoyed sitting on the deck while eating. Caroline went down for a nap shortly after lunch and we enjoyed watching Elizabeth run around.
Once Caroline was awake again, Ben and the girls and Adam and Brigette went to the nearby park and playground while I went for a very hilly run around the neighborhood.
She loved this bridge

Don't forget about the playground
Once everyone was home, we hung around the house and Brigette made the best sloppy joes for dinner. The weather was still nice so we sat on the deck and enjoyed dinner. Later that night, the guys stayed at home while Brigette and I met up with Kelly to watch Magic Mike. The movie was good and hilarious. I think Kelly and I about fell out of our seats laughing so hard. :)
Saturday morning came very early because neither Caroline or Elizabeth slept great the night before. Elizabeth woke up in the middle of the night upset that she wasn't in her room and Caroline heard her screaming and that woke her up. 12am-2am was a very long two hours... (hey folks, just keeping in real).
Saturday morning kisses after I've had 4 hours of sleep
After we all woke up, ate breakfast, showered, and had more caffeine- we headed over to Jared and Kelly's house for their annual 4th of July pool party. We make it up every other year and we always have the best time hanging out at the pool all day, eating too much, and relaxing with friends. This year we enjoyed all that and the fun of watching the 4th of July through toddler eyes. Ben and I both enjoy watching Elizabeth experience things for the first time and remembering what it was like to be a kid on a holiday. She has been swimming a lot this summer, but spending the entire day at the pool put her in a whole new comfort level. She did the water slide, jumped off the diving board, and swam for seven hours.

Elizabeth was allowed to do the slide by herself...
but she had to have assistance to go up the ladder
Yahoooo!
"That was fun!"

Once the sun started to go down, we herded the kids out of the pool, dried them off, and gave them bubbles and glow sticks to play with. Kylie, Nico, and Elizabeth LOVED blowing bubbles and running around with glow bracelets, necklaces, and 4th of July wands.

These two are so cute!
Thank you to Adam and Brigette for hosting us this weekend. Thank you to Jared and Kelly for letting us "move in" on Saturday. We had a great time with everyone and this will be a weekend we remember always. Please come visit soon so we can return the favor!
Happy Monday y'all!
