Saturday morning we headed to the gym and then we were off and literally running from activity to activity. It was such a fun (and exhausting) day!
First stop- Target's spooktacular event
They gave out special treat bags and had several tables set-up throughout the store to pick up goodies
Running through the store for treats :)
And then headed upstairs for more treats
Caroline was obsessed with the ninja turtle
And Elizabeth liked the storm trooper
But wanted a picture by the ninja turtle too ;)
After Target we ran into the mall for a minute to pick-up a gift and then we were headed to our next Halloween stop- Michael's!
Michael's kids club was doing face painting and creating trick-or-treat bags
Elizabeth wanted her whole face painted
Checking out her tiger face paint in my phone :)
Caroline got two hearts on her forehead
Elizabeth was not sure what was happening
But she loved her face paint
After Michael's we headed home for lunch and rest time
Everyone wants to be on Mommy while she eats lunch
Saturday afternoon, Elizabeth and I headed to the fall festival at the church down the street. We have gone the last three years and have loved it every time! Caroline was napping so Ben stayed home with her while we went to the festival. We met Liz, Brad, Charlie, Jack, and Theo and had the best time!
Walking the plank at her first game
Elizabeth played this game about 5 times I think
Playing with the farm animals
Charlie and Elizabeth petting a goat
Charlie and Jack petting a bunny
OMG! Elizabeth held a baby chick!
And Jack!
And Charlie!
More games!
After the festival we came home and carved pumpkins! While Ben was taking out the seeds and guts, the girls were painting their pumpkin for the teal pumpkin project. We have painted a teal pumpkin the last three years and the girls loved doing it again this year. We have several friends and family members with food allergies and so I always pick up safe candy and other non-food items so they can safely trick-or-treat at our house.
Ben is so wonderful!
He cleaned the guts and seeds out of all four of our pumpkins.
We discovered a few years ago that I am allergic to pumpkins and I can't really clean them out anymore.
But I can carve faces :)
Our four pumpkins!
On Sunday, Ben took the girls grocery shopping while I cleaned up the house. When they got back we had lunch and then headed to 12:30pm mass. After church and rest time, we headed to trunk-or-treat at a church near Elizabeth's school and then to I-HOP for scary pancakes for dinner.
Anna and Elsa were at trunk-or-treat and they were so sweet with Elizabeth.
Caroline was dressed as Anna and wouldn't go near them but kept pointing at her costume and then the other Anna. It was really cute and funny because I think she was also terrified.
Both girls ended up ordering chicken and waffles for dinner.
And they both ate EVERYTHING!
Caroline ate two dipping cups of honey mustard sauce!
And Elizabeth LOVED being silly while her waffles.
And that was our weekend.
Happy Halloween y'all!
