Four-day-weekend review: Anniversary, Baby Shower, and the Super Bowl!

If the title of this blog post doesn't give away that we had a very busy weekend, then I don't know what will.  ;)

Friday, Ben was off from work and we took turns running errands and doing things around the house.
Ben took this picture of Caroline on Friday morning

On Saturday morning, we got up, loaded the car, got the girls up, and discovered Caroline had a fever of 101.5.  We were supposed to go to Pennsylvania for my sister-in-laws baby shower and Caroline's fever kinda stopped us in our tracks.

We gave her Tylenol and waited 30 minutes.  Her fever came down and she was acting normal so we loaded the girls into the car and headed to Pennsylvania.

Well...that was the last time Caroline acted normal.  Unfortunately, she ran a fever all weekend (and most of Monday) and didn't eat or drink much all weekend.  We ended up at the doctor on Monday night because she was still so sick (she is feeling slightly better today).

When we got to Pennsylvania, we hung around Ben's parents house and I stayed home with Caroline while everyone went to church on Saturday night.  Caroline got a bath and was in bed asleep at 5:15pm.

Saturday night, Ben and I had a date night to celebrate our 8th date-anniversary.  We felt bad about going out, but Caroline had been asleep for hours and Elizabeth was enjoying one-on-one time with her grandparents.

We headed to Robokyo in Greensburg and enjoyed cocktails at the bar before being seated for our hibachi dinner.  We took Uber and had a fantastic experience with both of our drivers.  If you are going out in Greensburg, I highly recommend taking Uber, our ride was $9!

At the bar, waiting for cocktails!

Ben got the special, Tiger beer, and I had the specialty cocktail- salted caramel apple martini

 I love a good hibachi!

 So. Much. Food!

On Sunday, we celebrated my sister-in-law at her baby shower!  The shower was at One Eleven
and we had the best time!  Brigette got so many beautiful baby blankets, handmade gifts, a car seat and stroller, and lots of books that the baby is going to love for years!  We had the best lunch and then enjoyed watching Brigette open lots of goodies.  This is one loved baby and I can't wait to meet him or her.  :)

Welcome to the baby shower.  Select your guess!

Each guest got a cookie to take home and a coffee mug full of Hershey kisses.

Thirty fabulous ladies came to celebrate Brigette!

So many beautiful things- I love this blanket!

After the baby shower, we all headed back to the house to relax for a little while.  Ben had been busy watching Caroline and making food for a super bowl party we were going to later in the night.

Around 5pm, we headed over to Jared and Kelly's house to watch the Super Bowl and eat way too much.
*Thank you Jared and Kelly for having us over, we had a blast!

Almost got the whole group :)

We had so much fun!

We headed back to Ben's parents house after the game and came home Monday afternoon.  We had a busy/good/eventful weekend and I hope you enjoyed the game too!

Happy Tuesday y'all!
