I packed individual bags of stale cheerios for all the kids (I can't believe we had stale cheerios but such is life) and also brought old bread I had been saving for just this occasion. Jhena and Liz brought bread and buns and we were set for a morning of feeding all the animals. The kids loved being allowed to throw the food into the water and watch the birds, ducks, and fish go after it.

A ton of ducks fighting over the food
Caroline enjoyed watching the big kids
Elizabeth was trying to feed the birds
Double fisted throw
The kids had a blast!
Once we were out of food, we went inside the torpedo factory to use the bathroom and develop a game plan. When we came out the kids saw this fountain and we gave them pennies to throw in and make a wish.
Once they all wished about 9 wishes, we gathered the big kids for a group photo.

They are a silly bunch...
but they are all so cute!
We had a picnic after these photos and then drove over to a playground/ spray park in Alexandria. It was such a fun day, but we were very tired when we got home. Now it's time to relax and enjoy a quiet evening at home with my favorites.
Happy Thursday!
