Weekend Review

We had a GREAT weekend around here!

Friday we hung around the house, enjoyed homemade pizza, I got a new cell phone, and we watched TV and caught up on Scandal (OMG)!

Saturday I ran some errands during the day and then we enjoyed a couples night out with a bunch of friends.

Sunday we relaxed at home and enjoyed a nice family day.

 Friday morning breakfast, the girls were given their 

Valentine's gifts from Aunt Lolly and Uncle Andy.

 The girls LOVE their buckets and monkeys.

 Friday afternoon we made Valentine cards for family.

Both girls loved coloring and adding stickers to all their cards. :)

 

 I watched a few french braid You Tube videos and tried a couple of french braids on Elizabeth.

This is the first braid.

 And this is the second braid.

 I think it looks pretty good, but I know it will get better with practice. 

These two love playing Wii Mario Party.

 Friday night I got a new cell phone.
I dropped my old one before running one night and it cracked on top of the buttons, so every time I tried to open an app, make a call, write a text, etc. it closed it down.
The phone on the left is my old phone and the phone on the right is my new phone.
It's HUGE compared to my old one and I am having a hard time adjusting.

 Saturday morning, the girls wanted to make more cards.

I'm so glad Caroline didn't inherit my OCD. ;)

 Saturday night, we went out to Whitlows and had a great time with friends.

Ben destroyed me in pool (probably because I was taking pictures)  ;)

Friday Favorites!

Hey y'all, it's FRIDAY!!!

This is the last weekend in January and I am PUMPED because February is going to be A LOT of fun for our family!

Here are my Friday Favorites:


ONE:

 Playing outside with my girls is my #1 favorite this week!
It has been months since we have been able to play outside.

The little and I headed back out again on Thursday, it was very windy hence our crazy hair. :)


TWO:

I've been wearing these jeans most of the week.
They are pretty comfy which is great for mom-life AND Old Navy makes inexpensive jeans. :)


THREE:

I know Christmas is over, but I can't get enough of this soap!
And it's HALF PRICE!!
The foaming soap is my favorite kind.
I have allergic reactions to a lot of scents, but this one doesn't bother me at all.


FOUR:

Earlier this week I picked up this sign at Home Goods.
I love decorating for holidays and Valentine's Day is no different. :)

Life Lately

Life lately has been full of snuggles, going out-to-breakfast, playing outside and picking out birthday presents at Toys R Us.

I have been fighting a small cold this week and we have been taking it slow.  We finally went back to the gym today and I walked on the treadmill while the girls played with their friends in the daycare room.

I've been enjoying these slow weeks during winter and getting all the extra snuggles I can get.

Here is a look at our life lately...

 Tuesday morning the girls watched some cartoons in our bed.

 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a favorite :)

 

 Caroline and I hit up Free Chick-Fil-A breakfast this week

 She loves a deconstructed breakfast sandwich :)

  The girls and I went to Toys R Us this week

 We looked at some toys for Elizabeth's birthday

 

 Wednesday afternoon the weather was perfect!

The girls and I spent an hour outside

 

 Love her sense of adventure

 We headed over to the playground for a bit

 And played a little dress up with OLD Halloween costumes :)
